Michelangelo (or Irving Stone, his biographer) once said that an artist should also be an engineer.

Originally, I wanted to become an artist. But when I left university, I was an engineer. Not soon afterwards, art caught up with me again.

So, this or that way, I've followed Michelangelo's advice...
